Russian Warplane Crashes After Taking Off From Humaimim Airbase

Latakia (Qasioun) – A Russian warplane crashed on early Tuesday after taking off from Humaimim airbase near Jable city in Latakia province.


The fire blazes caught the warplane and crashed after few kilometers from the airbase near Sharashir village in Latakia countryside, while the fire extinguish vehicles headed to the area, according to pro-regime media sources.

The airbase didn’t comment yet about the incident, which is the first of its kind since the Russian intervention in Syria.


Noteworthy that Russian airbase of Humaimim are daily recording dozens of aerial operations that backs up the syrian regime over its front-lines against ISIS in Deir Ezzor, in addition to bombarding the villages and towns held by the Syrian opposition.
